Today for my 20% time I dedided to go on Photojojo and check out some pictures and tutorials. I also found many famous photographs that had celebrities on them. The interesting part of it was that they were photoshoped and they showed how they made it look so professional. I was impressed by the way they came out because I noticed that their skin came out flawless. I hope to fix up some of my personal pictures to make them look as professional as those that I saw today.

Today for my 20% time I decided to play a little more with layerings on my own personal pictures. I thought it would be nice to make a scene as if I were in the beach with my prom dress before prom. I got the picture of the beach on flickr. I decided to put up the picture of the beach in the carribeans. I pretty much made it look pretty real. Overall I think I did a pretty good job.

Today for my 20% time I was on Planet Photoshop. This is a website that shows you how to do step by step editing on to your pictures using photoshop. I found this sight pretty useful because you can find everything on just one page. I think that this site is perfect for photoshop beginners who are willing to spend their time to make their work look more professional. I even added this site on to my google reader. I also like the fact that it provides screen shots of every step so you know exactly where to look and what to do. I hope you find this website as useful as I did.

Today for my 20% time I decided experiment with the desaturation tool. This makes the image black and white. Then I used the History Brush Tool which ereses the black and white and turns it back to the original color. Then I decided to do only some parts of the picture in color so that it stands out more. Here is the outcome of the picture.

Today for my 20% time I tried to load more videos but it took the whole period to load. So I decided to watch it at home. It also taught me how to use the layers effect and edit pictures so that they look distorted. I learned that the magnetic lasso tool makes it much easier to make layers out of pictures. It helps outline the picture so that you wont have to be too accurate, it automatically does it for you. I got this video off of google where I get most of my videos.

Today for my 20% time I decided to watch photoshop tutorials. I found a video on Google Videos. I was trying to do all the different things it taught me but I was not able to. I was however, able to edit a picture of my own that I could not post up due to techinical difficulties. I made my picture look as though it was all black and white but like a cartoon. I also used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out pictures of myself to make it look as though I was at the Staples Center with one of my friends. I did this using the layers effect.

For my 20% time today I decided to watch a tutorial. Although it took a while to load I was able to watch part of it. I got it off of google and when I got home I was able to get it off of Youtube. This video is a tutorial on how to use Picasa the free package from google. I liked the way this video showed me step by step instructions on how to install and use Picassa. Hope you enjoy!

Today for my 20% time I looked for tutorials on photoshop. I was watching videos to see which one I found most useful. There was one in particular that I found very helpful because it was very detailed. I hope you find it easy to understand like I did. Hopefully by my next post I use some of the hints that I try out to post onto my blog. This video deals with color and making the colors look more alive.
